Now that we’re a month old, we thought it would be a good time to introduce you to our blog family, City Moms Blog Network. I was introduced to City Moms Blog Network (CMBN) via Lauren Kimmel, co-founder of Dallas Moms Blog. When the Barry bunch was still living in Dallas, Lauren asked me to write a couple of blogs about life as a working mom for DMB (you can read those posts here, here, here, here and here!) and I loved it. When we learned we’d be moving to Austin, I knew I wanted to start Austin Moms Blog. After one wine induced conversation with Allison, she was in and thus we began blogging.
One of the biggest “selling points” for me and Allison was that we wouldn’t be starting this blogging journey solo, we’re part of a network of blogging mamas who are full of great ideas and full of encouragement for the little sister aka us! CMBN started earlier this year when Scottsdale Moms Blog acquired their first sister site, Dallas Moms Blog. After DMB launched, SMB continued to get interest from mamas all over the country and they knew they were on to something.
We have sister sites in Iowa (www.quadcitymomsblog.com), Georgia (www.peachstatemomsblog.com), Dallas (www.dallasmomsblog.org) and Scottsdale (www.scottsdalemomsblog.com) and are speaking with some potential sisters in other areas.
We’ve so proud to be part of this fabulous network and cannot wait to continue to see AMB and the entire network grow. If you or someone you know might be interested in launching a Sister Site in another city, go check out their web site for all the details. Blogging has been so fun and and such a great way for us to connect with our community!
