I believe I’ve blogged a time or two about being pregnant {insert sarcasm}. I love using monograms in our nurseries…the problem is my husband and I are terrible about naming our children, so it doesn’t happen until after they are born. With that said, I have to focus on our last initial {G} for awhile.

Enter…yarn wrapped letters!

Supplies – a letter, yarn, and a hot glue gun. I bought everything at Hobby Lobby for super cheap.

1. Glue a few strands of yarn on the beginning and ending edges.

3. Get wrapping! I wrapped to get the yarn tight and made sure you couldn’t see any of the wood underneath. I didn’t try to perfectly line the yarn up or not have it overlap. I did try to ensure any ‘messy’ spots were in the back if I needed to criss-cross the yarn.

4. When you’ve wrapped the entire letter, glue the end of the yarn to the back.

5. Use decorative ‘stuff’ to cover any boo-boos add some contrast.

The finished product!

So there you have it. A super easy but insanely adorable DIY. If this accountant can do it, anyone can!
