When I think of Fall, two words come to mind….

Photo. Op.

Basically, I get in crazy mode wanting to get the perfect pictures of my kids in their cute Fall clothes, which for years has ended us up at a pumpkin patch.  I know the perfect pumpkin patch picture (how’s that for alliteration?) can sometimes be cliché, but I think they always turn out great with the vibrant colors and unique backdrops.  Our family loves going to local patches (regardless of this picture-crazy momma trying to get them all to pose) because we usually buy one or two for Jack-O-Lanterns as well.  But really, who are we kidding…it’s all about the pictures.

So whether you’re looking for a fun little family outing, needing to pick out the ideal pumpkin for carving, or simply want to annoy your kids by taking 245.8 pictures in pumpkins, we’ve picked out the best Austin-area pumpkin patches for you to visit!

  1. Big Red Barn puts annoying stickers on every pumpkin. We like Tarrytown United Methodist Church…no stickers, pumpkin variety, awesome architecture as a backdrop.
