It is no secret that I adore Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s popular show Fixer Upper. Not only am I inspired by her design talents, but I am inspired by her fashion sense as well. Her style is comfortable yet chic and somehow Joanna even makes a simple baseball hat look fashionable! After being pregnant for what felt like three years straight, I recently completed a huge closet overhaul. It felt amazing! I said goodbye to my maternity clothes, postpartum clothes, and “what was I thinking” clothes. One positive with getting older is I can focus more on my true style rather than the most popular trend. I (usually) know what fits my body the best and try to buy staple pieces that I can mix and match throughout the year. Once I scheduled some free time for myself, I channeled my inner JoJo and went spring shopping. It is definitely easier chasing my toddlers around in yoga pants, but I now have a few solid options to freshen up my wardrobe. I don’t mind splurging on items that can transfer from season to season. I rarely have time to go shopping for myself and I need these pieces to hold up as long as possible.
