My Top Picks For Sandwich Shops In Austin

I love carbs and am a sucker for a great sandwich. Here’s a compilation of some of my tried and true favorites in Austin.

Soup Peddler

I’m obsessed with their grilled cheeses. One of my go-to meals is a Voltron and a Green Apple Muenster grilled cheese — perfection! They’re perfectly toasted, and the cheese is super melty. They also have gluten free bread as an option!

Gourmands

There are two walk up counters in South Austin and now a brick-and-mortar location off Airport.

Gourmands

I love coming here and sitting on the patio. They have delicious sandwiches, great pickles, and yummy bread bowl soups. Their sandwiches are on the meatier side. I love the Foghorn Leghorn. Good for kids, if you sit outdoors.

Walton’s Fancy and Staple

This place is the cutest! I love bringing friends here and out-of-towners. Their pick two fancy lunch is a pretty good deal. I’ve tried several sandwiches including the Gobble, Turkey Sweet, and Freebird Chicken. Their desserts and lattes are incredible as well, and the beautiful plants and flowers definitely make this place Insta-worthy!

These are my top picks, no loafin’ around! 🙂 I’d love to hear yours.
