Easy Thanksgiving Desserts

Thanksgiving is one of my absolute favorite holidays.  The food, the sentiment, the gathering, the food…. It all just warms my heart.  As I’ve grown up the past few years (I guess at 37 we can say I’m officially an adult), I’ve taken on Thanksgiving dinner at our home quite a few times now.  I love creating the menu, preparing, cooking, and hosting.  It isn’t the easiest job, but when the opportunity comes up within our family, I almost always volunteer for it.  What I don’t usually volunteer for, is dessert.  This year though, I’m determined to find some easy Thanksgiving desserts that the whole family will love.

I’ve always loved to cook (not to clean) and I love stuffing people full of delicious, classic, Thanksgiving food.  I tend to go all out

Cooking is definitely my thing, but I’m just not too much of a baker.

Thankfully, there is no shortage of easy Thanksgiving dessert recipes out there.  I’ve perused Pinterest late into the night and have narrowed it down to a few choices.  Read through them and tell me which of these easy Thanksgiving desserts you would make!

For the Pumpkin Pie Lovers (ME!)

No-Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake

This absolutely looks simple enough.  The fanciest equipment you need is a food processor, and you don’t even have to bake it!  Plus, let’s be real.  It’s got pumpkin in it, which is a vegetable, people!  Now if that doesn’t make you feel good about your dessert, I don’t know what can.  Don’t mind all the butter, sugar, cream cheese, and heavy cream.  I also love that this dish is make ahead.

Pumpkin Pie Crescents

I love that these are individual desserts, vs a big pie.  They would look so pretty on the table, and they seem almost as easy as rolling up some pigs in a blanket.  The glaze to go on top looks really simple. I might sprinkle some extra cinnamon just because it’s my favorite.  Kids would probably love this hand-held treat, too.  I bet it could even pass as a little breakfast bite.  And don’t forget the most important part – it has vegetables!  So you’re winning either way.  😉

For the Apple Pie Lovers

Apple Pie Bites

These go along the same lines as the Pumpkin Pie Crescents.  There’s brown sugar and cinnamon coating the inside of the crescent roll which I’m sure makes these absolutely divine.  And not to fear – these are just as “healthy” as their pumpkin counterparts with that big old slice of apple in there.  You know what they say…an apple a day!

Apple Pie Cups

I don’t know why I feel like all these bite size little desserts are just too perfect.  These only have 3 ingredients and I am all about that.  Easy peasy apple squeezy.

For the Chocolate Lover (also ME!)

Chocolate Pie

Thanksgiving doesn’t exactly scream chocolate, but let’s be clear: if dessert is happening in my house, it will almost always have chocolate.  The more chocolate, the better.  This one claims to be a “5 minute” pie.  I’ll bet lots of money that it takes me longer than that.  Nonetheless, it does look simple and pretty quick.

Paleo Death by Chocolate Brownies

I think we found a winner, folks.  I’ll be making these.  Anything that says “death by chocolate” might as well have my name written all over it.  Not to mention, you just throw all the ingredients in a blender, then straight into the baking pan.  Super easy!  Plus they are paleo which makes my healthy side really happy.  Gluten free, grain free, dairy free, and refined sugar free.  ENJOY!

And from my family to yours, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
