Pizzas, Wine & Puppies — Oh my!
Recently the Austin Moms Blog team was able to mosey down to South Austin for happy hour at Cane Rosso after our photoshoot. We were able to connect, sip some lovely wine and enjoy some delicious, authentic pizzas.
Their happy hour features $7 Margherita Pizzas, $9 Ella and Emma Pizzas. All appetizers are $2 off, including the incredible zucchini and artichoke fritters.
Their pizzas are true Neapolitan style, which means the exact ingredients you would get if you were traveling to Naples, Italy. #yesplease
Crispy, rustic wood-fired crust and gooey cheese with the perfect toppings like a sprinkling of olive oil, fresh basil leaves or Italian sausage or hot soppressata all with house made mozzarella.
These pizzas all pair perfectly with the happy hour wine for $6 and refreshing Peroni for $4.
All their pastas are fresh made, like their truffle carbonara with bacon and truffle cream. #drool
After Cane Rosso won over our all our appetites and the #winelovers hearts were won over, we learned about their dedication to rescuing dogs. They formed a dog rescue called Cane Rosso Rescue in DFW that is a non-profit rescue that takes in dogs from across the state. Stay turned for their spring “Pups on the Patio” where they feature local Austin shelters.
They will have puppies to adopt on the patio and they even give a portion of their sales to the shelter. How cool is that?
Cane Rosso also features Spirit Nights for local schools in the Austin area and gives a proceed of the sales to that school to help them raise funds. #pizzanight
