I often catch myself daydreaming about when I could grab my purse and head to the salon for some pampering.   No arrangements for childcare to be made, dinner to worry about, and without a guilty feeling for taking care of ME.

Fast forward a few years later and the only pampering I get is when I play make-believe Beauty Shop with the twins’.

Do you daydream of a salon service?  A relaxing massage sounds good after a long week of “Momming so hard”.  If you have heard the term Self Care then maybe I don’t have to inform you of how important it is.  Self Care is to make you a priority. Try to protect the happiness it brings you.   Sure, you have a list of reasons not to but I’m going to give a list of reasons TO TAKE CARE OF YOU.  Yes, You!  If you are thinking I can’t find the time, extra money, my kids need me while I’m away, or (my favorite excuse) I’ve been fine without it for this long!

OK Moms here is the deal.  Motherhood can be stressful at times!  When chamomile tea or diffusing lavender doesn’t work to calm me then I know it’s time for some self-care.

Taking care of YOU is not a selfish act.  It is precious time to quiet your mind and body.  “Fill your cup”  Because if your cup is empty then you have nothing left to pour into your children.  I’ve compiled a list that tackles your time and money excuse and I’m pretty sure you will figure out the rest!
