Ellie Goldstein, an 18-year-old model with Down syndrome has starred in a Gucci Beauty campaign, which has been featured online by Italian Vogue. We are absolutely obsessed with this story and couldn’t be more excited for Ellie and what this campaign means for the next generation of models.

Ellie is represented by Zebedee Management, a specialist talent agency created to increase the representation of people who have until now been excluded in the media, including people with disabilities or alternative appearances and trans/non binary.

We love brands that are deliberately diverse and fully inclusive and Gucci has hit the mark with Ellie Goldstein. It’s important that as a society, we break barriers. The world of fashion has dramatically changed over the past decade, but there is still work to be done. The naming of Ellie is a perfect step in the right direction!

The photo shoot that took place in London captured Goldstein wearing the Gucci mascara L’Obscur, inspired by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele, who wrote on the Instagram post: “I designed L’Obscur mascara for an authentic person who uses makeup to tell their story of freedom, in their way.”

“I really enjoyed the modeling and loved wearing the Gucci dress. I’m really proud of the photo shoot,” Goldstein replied, while adding that “I’m looking forward to modeling for other brands,” suggesting that the young model is only just beginning her special career.
