The Best Thanksgiving Dining & Takeout Spots in Austin | Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year. My excitement over the dying persistent summer heat and welcomed cool breezes means ‘Hello, backyard relaxation and an excuse for an expanding waistline!’

The holiday season yields a mixed bag of emotions for everyone, but most of us have very polarizing feelings about it – you either love it or hate it. With the lazy days of summer gone the most celebrated event planning season begins and before you know it Thanksgiving is here. A major event that requires your participation in the kitchen.

Lucky for you there are some dang good restaurants in Austin that don’t mind doing the heavy lifting. The choice is yours. You can be a total poser and act like you cooked it all or just change it up and meet the family at an eatery boasting ambience and delicious food.

Here’s a list of everywhere you can feast or pre order takeout for a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings in Austin.

Note: I like to patronize local businesses when I can so most restaurants included will be local eateries that cannot be found anywhere outside of Austin or surrounding areas.
