With most of us so far removed from the hardworking people who produce our food, we often wonder how the process works – not to mention how it affects the environment and our bodies.

The Dairy Discovery Zone takes you behind the scenes. It’s funded by real dairy farm families right here in Texas. And it’s at Rodeo Austin now through March 26!

Jump in and explore how dairy foods get go from the farm to your table. Discover how dairy’s 13 essential nutrients and their benefits to your body, and how dairy farmers work to protect people, animals and our planet for generations to come.

  • Play. Interact on digital walls and tables, playing trivia and word games to learn about dairy sustainability.
  • Dance. Show off your moves and stay in tune to reveal dairy secrets.
  • Build. Become a digital dairy farmer by building your own digital dairy, choosing your home, cow feed, cow breed and more.
  • Explore. Enter a refurbished 1965 Divco milk truck to embark on an interactive journey tracking milk from the farm to your table.

But wait, there’s more! Kiddos can milk an animatronic cow, snap fun family photos with our photo ops and even enter to win free milk for a year.

Located just west of the carnival area, near the Luedecke Arena, the Dairy Discovery Zone is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and admission is included with your Fairground or Rodeo & Concert admission.
