Crux Climbing Center

My kids love to climb! If your kiddos are the same or you have been wanting them to try out a structured wall climbing then take them to Crux’s Family Day. Your kids will love it and they will get some energy out. Crux has a Central Austin location and a South Austin location.

Thinkery | Opens at 9am | $16 per person pending if you are a member or non-member

Austin’s children’s museum! Masks required per their website. They opened up Spring Break camps however please check their website to sign up if there are still openings. They have outdoor and indoor activities for all ages. Honestly, this children’s museum is great and my children love it! They are a little older now and I cannot wait for them to go back and explore again. Trusting they will start their parents night out again as well.

Austin FC | Various ticket prices |Game on Sunday March 20th

If you haven’t gone to the premier Austin soccer team’s game then you are missing out. The stadium is gorgeous and the games are full of energy! Conveniently located in North Central Austin near the Domain. Pedernales State Park | 13 years old and up $6/daily or TX State Park Pass $70/day

Gorgeous hiking in the TX Hill Country around Johnson City. As a child growing up in Austin, we ventured here for a field trip and it was THE trip! Anyway, the falls are beautiful and fun to cool off in after a hike. Check out the events starting on March 18th to enjoy with the whole family!

Waco Cameron Park Zoo | Open Mon – Sat 9am to 5p, Sun 11am to 5pm | Tickets $10 to $13

Venture up to Waco not only to check out famous Texans Chip and Joanna Gaines but to check out the fantastic zoo they have! It truly is a fantastic zoo. Tons of animals to learn about and explore as well as activities. And the weather is going to be NICE!

Waco Magnolia Silos | Mon to Sat 9am to 6pm | Free, but bring spending money for the bakery and shops!

Waco has been added to the international map. As a native Texan, Waco is now a definite stop on your travels, thanks to the Gaines, and it is beautiful what they have done and continue to encourage refurbishing the area around now iconic Silos. This is a great family outing and a quick trip. Grab coffee, a cupcake and something for your home or garden!

New Braunfels | Various prices for tube rentals

Float the Comal or the Guadalupe rivers. This entails renting a tube if you don’t happen to have your own, taking a breath and jumping into the crispy cold river water. We have conquered the river several times however taking your littles along is a different ball game. Be diligent. There is a certain age where the child can swim and be responsible so of course that is up to parents’ discretion. There is also a fantastic children’s museum for the younger ones!

Dreamland Dripping Springs | Spring Break Camp Mon – Thur 9am to 12:30pm | $250/week

Y’all! This place is so much fun. You can easily spend a full day there and then some. Putput golf, pickleball, splash pad, concerts and tons of other fun things for kiddos. All while mom and dad and grab a beer or wine on tap. Fun and more fun! Find a short term rental in the area and go back again.
