Blues on the Green at Zilker Park – June 14th, June 15th, July 19th &July 20th-Blues on the Green is Austin’s favorite summer tradition! Be a part of the annual FREE concert series and join ACL Radio at Zilker Park to catch performances from your favorite artists. Grab your blankets, sunscreen and friends and we’ll see you there! 

“The Drop-In” – Every Thursday from now until August 11-The Long Center- Free live local music 

Hyde Park Storytelling– June 4th 7pm and select nights in the summer–come listen to fellow local Austinites share their short personal stories

Pokemon Club-SATURDAY MORNINGS-9a-10:30-Round Rock Public Library- Pokemon players, make new friends and share your love of Pokemon Saturday mornings at the Round Rock Public Library. The Round Rock Area Pokemon Club welcomes kids to drop by for free, casual play in the Library’s Meeting Room B, 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Fans can play and trade Pokemon cards and battle on their Nintendo devices, or just talk Pokemon. Parents are welcome to relax and chat while their kids are engaged.

The Sacred Springs Kite Exhibition-ALL SUMMER THROUGH NOVEMBER- 8am-Austin Central Library 710 W. César Chávez St, 78701: Art4Water’s inaugural program, The Sacred Springs Kite Exhibition, is a collaboration between The Watershed Association, Terry Zee Lee and 30+ national artists in the creation of water-inspired art kites. Hanging like an oasis in the sky, The Sacred Springs Kite Exhibition brings together diverse communities around the respect for Texas’ great springs–their history, their value, and the threats to their existence. Through this exhibition, the Watershed Association partners with Terry Zee Lee, a renowned facilitator and curator of kite exhibitions, to raise awareness of the vital connection of water to life. With Jacob’s Well as one example, “Sacred Springs” seeks to float a collection of groundwater icons in the sky.

FREE Live Animal Encounters with Once in a Wild! June 1 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm-LIVE STREAM: Viewers will meet some of our amazing animal ambassadors, and learn all about them and their natural history. Tune in today LIVE to see which animals make an appearance! Remember, this is an interactive event, so please join us by typing in your comments and questions!

KUTX 98.9s’ Rock the Park-June 3-6pm-Mueller Lake Park and Amphitheater: The family friendly concert series presents Joe McDermott and Sir Woman. In addition to live music and food trucks, Extragrams drag queens will perform between sets. Guests may bring blankets or stadium cushions. Please do not bring chairs, glass containers or alcohol to Rock the Park events. Parking is $1 per hour in the McBee Garage across from Thinkery. Metered spaces are available around the park. (Rain date June 10)

Art-O-Rama 2022-Saturday, June 4, 2022 11am-1pm-1110 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX 78704: Celebrate Austin with the Dougherty Arts Center at our FREE public event, Art-O-Rama! Experience take-home demos, carnival themed booths, food, art gallery exhibits and live music. This event is family friendly and will have activities for all ages. Meet the community and learn more about all that the Dougherty Arts Center offers.

AAS -Public Star Party at Inks Lake State Park- June 4-8:30-11am-Inks Lake State Park – Texas Parks and Wildlife: The public is invited to share telescopes with the Austin Astronomical Society to observe the sky. We’ll show such objects as planets, the moon, galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and more.

There is no charge for the star party itself, but visitors must pay the park entry fee of $6 for ages 13 and up, with children 12 and under free. On weekends reservations are recommended ahead of time for Day Use passes. Ask for direction at headquarters.

Please consider a flashlight with a red bulb, but we have red cellophane to cover a white light. Please do not bring a dog, unless it is a service animal.. Smoking is not permitted in the area of the telescopes because the smoke can damage optical equipment. Public consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed in state parks

Peach Festival-June 11-10am- Lago Vista Farmers Market-5803 Thunderbird Lago Vista, TX 78645: A good old fashioned peach festival! With Fredricksburg peaches, peach treats and sweets and lots of peach creations from the vendors.

Free Kid’s Yoga-June 24-9:15 am-Pease Park- Must RSVP:Come stretch, breathe, move, dance, relax, create, and have FUN! These classes will include age-appropriate yoga and movement- including breathing, poses, stories, music, relaxation, meditation, and more. Your little yogi will get to practice fine and gross motor skills, social and group skills, and begin to learn mindfulness and breathing/calming tools. Free & open to the public! Bring the entire family, mat or blanket plus h2o!
