Blues on the Green at Zilker Park – June 14th, June 15th, July 19th &July 20th-Blues on the Green is Austin’s favorite summer tradition! Be a part of the annual FREE concert series and join ACL Radio at Zilker Park to catch performances from your favorite artists. Grab your blankets, sunscreen and friends and we’ll see you there! 

“The Drop-In” – Every Thursday from now until August 11-The Long Center- Free live local music 

Hyde Park Storytelling– June 4th 7pm and select nights in the summer–come listen to fellow local Austinites share their short personal stories

Free entry to Contemporary Austin museum and Blanton Museum of Art every single Thursday; free entry to Mexic-Arte Museum every Sunday

Free stand-up comedy shows at Cherrywood Coffeehouse on Tuesday nights and at Buzz Mill Coffee on Wednesday

Free two-step lessons at The White Horse on the first and third Monday of every month at 7pm OR swing dance lessons every Wednesday at 7pm (bar is 21+ only)

Austin Symphony Orchestra concerts in the park are FREE live symphony music every Sunday evening 7:30pm from June 5th through August 28th on the Long Center lawn; click here for the full schedule!

Pokemon Club-SATURDAY MORNINGS-9a-10:30-Round Rock Public Library- Pokemon players, make new friends and share your love of Pokemon Saturday mornings at the Round Rock Public Library. The Round Rock Area Pokemon Club welcomes kids to drop by for free, casual play in the Library’s Meeting Room B, 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Fans can play and trade Pokemon cards and battle on their Nintendo devices, or just talk Pokemon. Parents are welcome to relax and chat while their kids are engaged.

The Sacred Springs Kite Exhibition-ALL SUMMER THROUGH NOVEMBER- 8am-Austin Central Library 710 W. César Chávez St, 78701: Art4Water’s inaugural program, The Sacred Springs Kite Exhibition, is a collaboration between The Watershed Association, Terry Zee Lee and 30+ national artists in the creation of water-inspired art kites. Hanging like an oasis in the sky, The Sacred Springs Kite Exhibition brings together diverse communities around the respect for Texas’ great springs–their history, their value, and the threats to their existence. Through this exhibition, the Watershed Association partners with Terry Zee Lee, a renowned facilitator and curator of kite exhibitions, to raise awareness of the vital connection of water to life. With Jacob’s Well as one example, “Sacred Springs” seeks to float a collection of groundwater icons in the sky.

McDade Watermelon Festival-July 10-ALL DAY- 143 Bastrop St McDade, TX 78650: The McDade Watermelon Festival is the 2nd Saturday of JULY. Start at 7am w/ watermelon weigh-in, Parade 10:30am on Main St in historic area. Festivities on the Grounds 11am til dark. car show 8am – 2pm on East side of Festival Grounds 

Free Kid’s Yoga-July 22-9:15 am-Pease Park- Must RSVP:Come stretch, breathe, move, dance, relax, create, and have FUN! These classes will include age-appropriate yoga and movement- including breathing, poses, stories, music, relaxation, meditation, and more. Your little yogi will get to practice fine and gross motor skills, social and group skills, and begin to learn mindfulness and breathing/calming tools. Free & open to the public! Bring the entire family, mat or blanket plus h2o!

Meet the Author: POP up Event- July 30- 11-1am- HAUTE Boutique:Join HAUTE Boutique for this FREE family fun event. Meet the author of the new children’s book “B is for Boy Bands,” sit in for a reading, grab some treats, and do some arts and crafts. Books will be available for purchase, and the boutique is always stocked with the latest styles and unique gifts.

Free fireworks show at Auditorium Shores in the evening on July 4th with a live band and fireworks set off over Town Lake
