Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center | 4801 La Crosse Ave

Want to be surrounded by native plants and flowers? Head over to the Wildflower Center! With areas to sit and eat, play at the playground, take a long walk, or learn about the plants around you, you are sure to want to return again and again. Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve | 3505 W 35th St

Want to try something new? Head over to Mayfield park and have a picnic among peacocks and koi. The peacocks have free reign, although if you head over too early you may find them all sleeping in the trees. Want to walk a little more? Head down the trail and then come down to the picnic tables for a shady snack. A favorite in our house, and one we return to over and over. Who knew peacocks could be so exciting?

Mueller Lake Park | 4550 Mueller Lake Blvd

A lovely lake close to lots of action, Mueller Lake park is a wonderful place to take the kids during the week or with the whole family on the weekend.
