Heading to the pumpkin patch is a classic family tradition for fall. Although the air may not be crisp enough to wear a flannel, the cider is still flowing and there are plenty of pumpkins to be picked around the city. Here are the Top 10 Pumpkin Patches in and around Austin.

Indian Springs Ranch- I don’t want to get your hopes up, but not EVERY farm on the list has zebras, camels and kangaroos. However, ISR does! They also have unique fall-themed photo-ops, face painting, jumping pillow, kids swings and playground, food & craft vendors.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm-Our personal family favorite! 4.5 Acres of safari themed corn maze paired with a GIANT 2 acre Texas sized pumpkin patch filled with over 40 different varieties of pumpkins, fireworks (Fri & Sat nights in Oct.), pig races, petting zoo, pony rides, wagon rides, apple cannons, food trucks, live music and over 30 different activities that are included with your general admission ticket. There’s a unique add-on for campfire rentals this year. Pass the marshmallows!

Barton Hill Farm-Situated on the Colorado River, this could be the most gorgeous farm on the list. Celebrate their 11th year by picking your very own pumpkins from the beautiful pumpkin patch. Explore our 30+ activities including a fall corn maze. Then take a break, relax on a swing beneath a shady tree, and let the Colorado River wash your cares away.

Sweet Berry Farm- The scenic drive to Marble Falls is fun enough, but the fam can stretch their legs and go wild with all the activities upon arrival. They have all the classics like Hayrides, Pumpkins, Mazes, Scarecrow Stuffing, and you can pick your own flowers!

Mama Mary’s Farm-Family run and sweet as can be. Less than 30 minutes from Austin, you can pick out the perfect pumpkin, interact with animals, play on the farm, and so much more.

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm- Things are running a little differently on the farm this year. Only open the last two weekends in October, and scaling back on many of the activities they used to have, Elgin Christmas Tree Farm is a great choice for littles. You can still expect hay rides, mazes, rubber duck races and playscapes. Pack a lunch and unwind in the picnic area. PLEASE NOTE-pumpkins are for photo ops only, not available for purchase. Admission has been reduced to $8

Evergreen Farm-Gosh, we LOVE when stuff is included in admission price. The Pumpkin Hunt includes a free wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields where mini pumpkins are hidden (one ticket gets you two mini pumpkins). You can grab tickets for the pumpkin launcher, train ride and more in the gift shop for $3.

The Jersey Barnyard- Stock up on any and every type of pumpkin and mums. Every Saturday in October (10a-12) pumpkin painting is included with your purchase.

Robinson Family Farm- The annual Fall Festival! Enjoy pumpkins, beer & wine, photo ops (seriously, you’ll get so many likes), farm animals, 20+ attractions, & more.
