It seems like there are hundreds of coffee shops in Austin. It can feel overwhelming which one to choose! I wish I could have visited them all before coming up with this shortlist- but a girl can only buy so many coffees before realizing she’s spent the whole grocery budget. I’m kidding… but I do consider myself an addict. #MomLife. Here are a few of my favorite coffee shops in North Austin.
Favorite Drink: 1/4 Winter Moon Iced
Pros: Cozy places to sit, you can order ahead if you’re in a hurry & some locations have a drive thru.
I think it’s safe to say Summer Moon is a favorite of all Austinites. With that being said- it’s not always a great place to work if you need some quiet & serious concentration- but it’s the perfect place to grab coffee with loved ones, read your favorite book, or load up on their specialty Moon Milk. There are locations all over ATX, so sure to find one close to you. My favorite location is in North Austin in the Avery Ranch neighborhood.
Favorite drink: Iced Cinnamon Maple Latte
Pros: Quiet, great outdoor seating for work or taking the kids, hassle-free parking, & online ordering.
Nestled in the Artisan Luxury Apartment Housing. Me & my little girls took a trip to Rocket & loved the coffee, cake balls, & atmosphere. It was like a little secret tucked away inside an apartment complex. My drink was delicious & Zelda loved the seasonal pumpkin cake ball. There was plenty of shade and seating outside and my baby could safely crawl around on the deck. I can’t wait to go back!
Favorite Drink: Nitro Cold Brew
Pros: Easy access off the interstate & a drive thru
Lamppost had a chill atmosphere, your classes coffee shop music playing quietly in the background and plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. With free wi-fi you can get hours of uninterrupted work done. Lamppost has multiple locations around Austin too!
Favorite drink: Iced latte with whole milk
Favorite sweet: Blackberry Lavender Cake
Pros: Plenty of seating including a comfy couch, large community table, & café tables. Plus, this place has plenty of food & pastries to keep you satisfied if you get hungry.
Cure is new to North Austin & I can’t believe it took me so long to visit! The whole space is beautiful, my drink was perfect, & the barista was so kind. This is definitely a place I could bring my girls without feeling stressed.
If you’re ever on the north side and need a coffee buzz- make sure to check out some of these gems.
