Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve- Mayfield Park feels like a secret garden. Spring Break is the perfect time to pop in and see what’s blooming. The kiddos will love spotting peacocks (yup!) and the schools of koi fish in the many ponds.

Laguna Gloria- The Contemporary Austin- Just a little down the road from Mayfield Park, Laguna Gloria is MAGIC! The grounds are absolutely stunning, and your kids will have so much fun searching for sculptures on your stroll. Spread & Co is now open in case you forget to pack a lunch.
Central Market North Lamar- Grocery store? Yup. A way to grab a tasty bite and let your kiddos blow off steam on the playground? Yes–that too! The playscape is huge and there’s a ton of patio seating nearby so you can finish your lunch next to a half-eaten grilled cheese while the kids play. Brentwood Social House- A literal coffee HOUSE. You truly feel cozied up at your childhood home (only with much better coffee). There are indoor AND outdoor play areas for the kiddos, and TONS of fun events–including flower trucks, live kid’s music and chair massages–say no more!
Pease Park-Tons of opportunity to immerse yourself in nature at Pease Park. The playscapes and nature trails will make you forget you’re minutes from Downtown Austin. Oh! They totally have BLUE trees right now. (Don’t worry–the colorant is eco-friendly)
Mount Bonnell- There’s a good chance your knees may go weak if your kids get too brave on this outing, but the view makes it worth it–right? Right? It’s one of the highest points in Austin and definitely a doable hike for little legs. Just pack extra snacks and sippy cups!
