Mother’s Day is this weekend! Where are you taking Mom on her Special Day? We have gathered some ideas and suggestions for Mother’s Day in Round Rock and Georgetown. These two cities have so many great options but here are a few personal favorites from us Moms in the ‘Burbs.

Round Rock

Papi’s PiesTheir patio is extra beautiful, thanks to local artists and their murals a great background for pictures. They serve waffles, croissants, quiches, frittatas and their specialty Salteña. It is the northern version of the Argentinian empanada, the salteña, is a soupier style of oven-baked, meat-filled pastry, a delicate morsel that you’ll need to bite the top off and slurp out the juice before attempting to eat the rest. Their dessert menu is very decadent so save room.

Jack Allen’s Kitchen-Local in source, Texan in Spirit (not only in the kitchen, but in the community) is what Jack Allen’s Kitchen is all about. Jack Allen’s Kitchen brings Southern-inspired flavors infused with the spice of Southwestern cuisine. They offer a creative brunch menu & drinks plus their regular menu and a kid’s menu. If you’re not sure what to get, try Dee Dee’s Short Stack as a starter for the table. It’s Mascarpone stuffed Challah french toast, umm yes please. Fun Fact: all the desserts are made in house.

URBAN Eat.Drink-Experience the upscale, casual atmosphere at URBAN Eat.Drink which is located in Downtown Round Rock. Serving great food, craft beers and signature cocktails. The owners both grew up in Round Rock, graduated from Round Rock High School, and decided to raise their family in their hometown that they love so much. The Avocado Toast, Spicy Chicken and Waffles, Breakfast Relleno, are just a few of the popular items. They also offer a lunch menu and a kid’s brunch menu. 

Salt Traders Coastal Cooking-Salt Traders Coastal Cooking is a home for the team behind Jack Allen’s Kitchen. The space, the food and the drinks are inspired by their coastal travels — bits of nostalgia spent with family and friends brought to your table. If your Mom loves seafood and you take her here you may be her new favorite. They also have a fun brunch menu with the BIG A$$ CINNAMON ROLL being the talk of the town. They also have Craft Cocktails that will make Mom smile such as the Salty Tom, a Wine List for All and every local Mom’s Favorite Drink: Gin and Bubbles

Palermo’s Pasta House-As soon as you step inside their white stone walls you’ll be greeted by the delightful aromas of fresh, home-made pasta and pizza. Palermo Pasta is a family oriented, fresh pasta and artisanal pizza factory. They also have plenty of tasty vegetarian and vegan options to choose from as well. Their wine list has something for every Mom out there. This gem is located in the heart of Round Rock’s Historic District inside the old “Carrington Building.”

Georgetown 

Sweet Lemon Kitchen-The location and atmosphere are what attracts Moms to this quaint restaurant. The Sweet Lemon Kitchen is full of authentic characteristics and décor inside. Serving breakfast and lunch daily! Bring Mom to enjoy a latte along with some of their featured items like fresh pastries, from-scratch cinnamon rolls or a delicious kolache. Then come back for their scrumptious sandwiches, fresh salads, or dive into one of the daily specials. The lavender mimosa is what some Moms have been talking about at the square.

Blue Corn Harvest-Blue Corn harvest is a moderately priced, casual theme style establishment serving authentic Southwestern cuisine with locations in Cedar Park and Georgetown. They have a lengthy brunch menu for all types of tastes.They have unique and delicious Mom drinks, The Popsicle Mimosa, The Fredericksburg Peach, and The Breakfast Margarita. They also have a great vegetarian and kids menu.

2020 Market Scratch Kitchen and Bar-2020 Market Scratch Kitchen and Bar’s menu comes from local farmer’s markets, gulf coast fishing boats, and country farm fields. This place has great ambience and the atmosphere on the patio is one like no other. On Sunday’s you can order off the Brunch Menu, alongside the Main Menu and can’t forget the kids menu. Some popular items are the Humble Rooster, 3 Little Pigs, Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar, and Round Rock Donut Bread Pudding. 

Wildfire Texas-This award winning restaurant is something that will WOW those Moms. It’s a pleasant surprise in Georgetown that serves delightful food and drinks. Their brunch menu is one you study before visiting. If you can’t decide, here are a few of our favorites: Eggs Oscar, Maple Leaf Duck Salad, and get the Scones as an appetizer–you only live once!! Oh, and the Wildfire Wildflower drink is a mouth full that will keep you bubbly!

Tony and Luigi’s-If Italian food is what your favorite Mom enjoys then this the place to go! Tony and Luigi’s is a fresh and exciting place to dine. It has a modern flare but maintains it’s welcoming atmosphere. With an emphasis on refined yet creative cuisine, the menu incorporates both traditional classic favorites and original new dishes. Acclaimed favorites include Bruschetta, Chicken Parm, and Braised Lamb Shank.
