Historic Downtown Georgetown
Grab your coat and head to the Historic Georgetown square where you’ll be enchanted by hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights. Folks have said the Historic Square during the holidays would be the perfect setting for a Hallmark movie! The Lighting of the Square takes place on November 29th, followed by the annual Christmas Stroll December 6th – 8th. Make plans now to attend.
Santa’s Ranch

Nature in Lights
Discover Lake Belton Outdoor Recreation Area in Temple, only a short drive North of Austin. The lake is home to a fabulous Nature in Lights trail from November 15 through December 31. This 5-mile trail features light displays and holiday arrangements. There is a scenic Santa’s Village where visitors can shop at local toy and food vendor booths and enjoy a delicious cup of cocoa.
Main Street Bethlehem
Situated in Burnet, Texas, the city of Bethlehem comes to life on December 6, 7 and 8, and then again on December 13, 14 and 15 from 6pm – 9pm each evening. Explore the narrow streets, listen to strains of ancient music, savor the sights and smells and immerse yourself in the experience. It’s worth the drive!
Christmas at the Maywald’s
This Austin family knows how to celebrate the holidays! As past winners of ABCs Christmas Light Fight show, the Maywald’s go all out, and each year is better and better! This year’s display will feature over 350,000 lights. When asked why they do this, their answer is simple; they love bringing joy to others and celebrating the reason for the season.
