5. Chez Zee – Large Crowd, kid friendly, several room options

Chez Zee
This is an old town Austin staple. Chez Zee is not only one of our favorite bistros and bakeries but also one of the best spots in town for any event. Birthday party, wedding reception and yes even baby showers! With several different spaces and options available you can match your party vibe to any of their unique and elegant spaces. With food, bar service and dessert all handled on site, this is a great option that doesn’t require a lot of leg work on your end. Don’t sleep on Chez Zee as a perfect option for a personalized event.

4. Casa Garcias Manor – Large Crowd, kid friendly, with private room


We love this option because the food is incredible, there are several options for party space including a large covered patio with a great playground and also a large event space offering privacy and space for large groups. Casa Garcia’s in Manor also offers thoughtful details to it’s space making it feel inviting and friendly for all ages. With tasteful yard games, lounge chairs, large playground, cold margaritas and wonderful food, we love this option.

3. Toybrary Burnet – Very kid friendly with private room


We may or may not be obsessed with the Toybrary Austin! Never heard of it? It’s time to check it out! Centrally located, clean and fun for kids of all ages, the Toybrary also offers space for private events, toys for purchase and a friendly atmosphere. You can choose to rent the entire space for your party which is a great idea for larger groups, or hang in your private room for a smaller crowd feel. If you’re a member you can snag $50/discount on rentals as well!

2. Holey Moley – Kid friendly and unique space

Holey Moley
We are truly obsessed with this option. Holey Moley makes it easy to host events with so many cool table and room options. From putt putt to karaoke and food add on options, this can be a great way to host an event without having to bring food, decorate, etc. Let the gang handle it for you onsite! Think, show up and show out! We love this location too, it’s downtown just right off 35 so the downtown views are an added bonus.

1. Brentwood Social House – Kid friendly and private space


This could possibly be our favorite spot for baby shower’s in the city! Centrally located, kid friendly and thoughtfully planned, Brentwood Social House is sure to be a hit for your baby shower. Offering 3-tiered sandwich and dessert platters, traditional teas and coffee this is a modern day tea party come true! Offering kid friendly indoor and outdoor space, it can be fun for the littles too. With several options for large and small groups, they can really handle it all here in this unwire and beautiful space. Don’t wait to book, we recommend planning well ahead as it appears the secret is out on this one!

Callie Counterman
Callie is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who enjoys empowering other women through all things breastfeeding, chestfeeding and beyond. She’s been working closely with Mother and Infant dyads for 7 years now and eventually took her love for lactation to a new level, opening Mooch Lactation in the Fall of 2023. When Callie is not working as a Lactation Consultant she is spending time at home on her farm with her son’s Wyatt (2014) and Walker (2016), and her Father. The farm life is the sweet life, according to Callie. She and her family rescue animals together, and offer sanctuary to over 19 various animals including donkeys, goats, chickens and pigs, cats and dogs. Although she was born in a small Southeast Texas town she moved to Austin as quickly as she could! Her weekends are mostly filled with chauffeuring her boys to sporting events and birthday parties but she does still make time for her favorite hobbies including watching all things Bravo with a nice glass of wine. Callie is thriving in this new season of life, after loosing her husband to cancer in 2021 her family has struggled to find a new normal but as with any major setback, there is an opportunity for a bigger comeback, and comeback she is.
