Round Rock Donuts is home to the mother of all donuts. Literally. Round Rock Donuts makes the largest and heaviest donut around town. They call it the Texas Donut, because as you know, everything is bigger in Texas Y’all! You’ll have to see it to believe it. If you need enough regular-sized or Texas-sized donuts to feed a large crowd, it’s best to call ahead and place an order for pick up. There’s also a drive-thru. They also serve donuts holes, kolaches and cakes.
Wanting Mexican food and a place the kids can enjoy? This place has it all, great Mexican food, a patio furnished with picnic tables, and a playscape area within arms reach.
Choose any Gordoughs location and you are bound to be pleasantly surprised at the unique (and sometimes odd) donut flavors available. Take the Mother Clucker for example: Fried Chicken Strip With Honey Butter. Sounds funky, yet tasty!
The menus vary slightly between each location so it’s good to take a look online before you go. While donuts are available at all three, the Public House creates the fabulous Donut Burgers and Donut dinner entrees. However, it is a bar, so not the best place for kids in the evenings.
Stop on by after a fun trip to the Triangle’s Wednesday farmers market to snack on an appetizer, try one of their jalapeno margaritas, or just take some time to enjoy some Tex-Mex food. The kids can also enjoy the friendly environment and head over to the playscape that’s right next to the restaurant.

Lone Star Grille has an enormous play area with a playscape, stage for live music, and plenty of space for the kids to run wild. This is definitely a favorite of the kids and the parents!

Great local pizza (with gluten free options), and an open shaded area to sit and enjoy the nice Spring days. Not only is it a great space to enjoy a family night out, but would act as a perfect birthday party location. It’s gated and has a big lot that includes a playscape.
Along with the delicious fresh pizza they offer, they will give kids “play dough” as pizza dough to keep the kids happy until the food arrives.
Verde’s food is on the higher end and the atmosphere is 100% kid friendly. With a back yard where kids explore high and low together, parents are able to cool off on the patio and watch the kids play.
While you have hunt out your communal picnic table, it’s a great place for unique pizza and arcade games. Plus the beer selection is superb.

Located right next to Jester King Brewery, beer is supreme here but so is the wood fired pizza. There is even a gravel/ dirt area for the kids to play in — so bring your shovels!
