Back for its 15th year, the Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run and Party is The Trail Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event that brings together two of Austin’s favorite things—running and margaritas! Unlike other major fundraisers in Austin, this event allows ladies to trade their little black dress and heels for shorts and running shoes while gentlemen can leave their ties at home.
More than 2,500 runners are expected for the 5K run that will begin at 8 p.m. along Walter Seaholm Drive and travel the streets bordering Lady Bird Lake. The Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run and Party helps raise critical private funds for improvement projects on the 10.1-mile lush, urban path in the heart of Austin.
The Run and the Party are separate ticketed events, both beginning at 8 p.m. Participants can choose to run/walk the 5K Race and celebrate with a margarita cheers at the finish line; join the Party on the lawn of the Seaholm Power Plant and enjoy all you can eat Tex-Mex and margaritas catered by Maudie’s, OR do both!
Tickets for the Run include an event T-shirt, a margarita at the finish line for all runners 21 or older, and race timing. Tickets for the Party include margaritas and dinner by Maudie’s Tex-Mex under the stars and lights of downtown Austin, complete with music and dancing, photo ops with TTF’s giant new 3D Trail Love sculpture, and a pop-up shop by active lifestyle brand Outdoor Voices.
Now through June 4, tickets for the Run and Party are $100; tickets for the Run Only are $35; and tickets for the Party only are $70. Prices will increase starting Tuesday, June 5. Visit https://thetrailfoundation.org/MMR to register now.

Front Door Concerts is a collective of Austin’s premier children’s musicians and early childhood educators, each with a loyal following across the greater Austin area.
We take great pride in our city, in its culture, in its growth — and take great interest in the fledgling communities that are forming. New families, new neighbors, new connections!
We’re NOT so keen on the challenges that come with growth in our city. You are already well aware of these: Traffic, parking, and did we mention traffic?!?!? When you have young children and a short window of time between feedings, and naps, and feeding again (and *maybe* a quick shower?) attending an event can be cumbersome to even consider. And that’s why WE want to come to YOU!
Host a monthly community event in your public spaces — neighborhood clubhouses, rec centers, any public gathering place — and relax, recharge, and CONNECT while we bring music, movement, and lots of laughs right to your Front Door!
Look for Front Door Concerts coming to a neighborhood near you! The 2016-2017 series features performances by Joe McDermott, Ms. Kat’s Music, Staci Gray, Terrence Taps, and French-to-Music language lessons!

Event Description: Twilight on the Trail is a one-time special event that will close out The Trail Foundation’s 15th anniversary celebrations and help raise critical funds for projects on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail. The special evening event will be open to the public and held in lieu of TTF’s annual State of the Trail breakfast (which is normally reserved for our highest level donors and stakeholders). Like all TTF events, Twilight on the Trail will be the Foundation’s easygoing take on the traditional gala.
Twilight on the Trail will begin with cocktails live music from Woode Wood on the outdoor patio overlooking the Trail and Lady Bird Lake. Woode Wood is the guitar playing, harmonica-blowing entertainer who has become a well known fixture on the Trail over the years— serenading runners, bikers, and anyone else passing by Lou Neff Point (or as he likes to call it, Woode’s Point). Then guests will head into the ballroom where TTF will have brought the Trail indoors with elaborate staging and scenery of some of the Trail’s most iconic projects, landmarks, and milestones.
Twilight on the Trail co-chairs are Katherine Crenshaw, Kate Granger, and Catherine Robb. The Trail Foundation’s 15th Anniversary co-chairs are Griffin Davis and Catherine Robb.
Tables and a limited number of individual tickets are now on sale. To reserve your spot and find out more information, visit TTF’s website.
Alice’s Table TX brings friends together to be creative and have fun while learning how to arrange flowers. Looking for a fun activity for a bridal shower, baby shower or birthday party? Perfect Kid Friendly Restaurant with Playgrounds in Cedar Park
When it comes to kid friendly restaurants in North Austin, it can sometimes be difficult to find a place that the whole family can enjoy. Restaurants that cater to parents can often be boring for children. On the other hand, Austin kid friendly restaurants often lack high-quality food that parents would enjoy. Lone Star Grille melds the best of both worlds. We are a destination that the whole family can enjoy as one of the only Cedar Park restaurants with playgrounds and great food.
If you want to experience great family dining or host a birthday party for your little one, we have tons of seating both indoors and outdoors at Lone Star Grille & Amphitheater. C’mon down!
Hear ye! Hear ye! Directly from Sherwood Forest Faire, Robin Hood and his merry band of outlaws are stirring up mischief this summer at Austin Scottish Rite Theater. Come see Robin, Maid Marian, Friar Tuck, Little John, and all the rest outwit the Sheriff of Nottingham in the original adventure story of Merry Olde England. With live music by Alan A Dale accompanying the fantastic Sherwood Forest Faire players, this is action-packed fun for the whole family!
