Museum of Graffiti Opens Pop-Up at SXSW with “Art of Hip Hop” Exhibit

Museum of Graffiti, the world’s first Museum dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of graffiti art, is joining the masses headed to Austin, TX during famed cultural convention South By Southwest. The Austin pop-up will be home to an exhibit entitled “The Art of Hip Hop,” a visual celebration of the 50-year anniversary of hip-hop.
Museum programming and classes will run through the entire month of March 2023 and will touch on all 5 pillars of Hip Hop: MC’ing, Breakdancing, Graffiti, Knowledge, and DJ’ing.
To celebrate the opening, the Museum will host 3 incredible days of concerts, limited edition merchandise drops, and panel discussions inside the Mi Campo Artists Lounge on the Museum’s back patio from March 10 – 12. The venue is located at 809 E. 6th St., Austin, TX where the exhibit and the Museum’s renowned gift shop will be open from 11am -7pm daily.
