Join West Chelsea Contemporary for the opening event and artist talk on September 23 from 2pm to 4pm, as we celebrate the public opening of Beauty in Destruction: The Art of Simon Berger, one of our most anticipated exhibitions by renowned Swiss artist Simon Berger. This special afternoon will offer a first look at the captivating artworks on display, along with the chance to listen in on a conversation with the groundbreaking artist, collectors, and fellow art enthusiasts.

This exhibition marks Berger’s first showing in Texas and features over 40 new works made exclusively for WCC. Having exhibited worldwide, pioneering Swiss artist Simon Berger is an international sensation. With a hammer in hand, Berger transforms panels of plain glass into portraits of precision, broadening the possibilities of a traditional medium.

Berger’s works has been displayed internationally from Thailand and Italy to Switzerland and France. Most recently a portrait of acclaimed Italian Opera singer Andrea Bocelli was sold by Sotheby’s for over $85,000. He has pioneered a process to create beauty from destruction, pushing the medium of glass to its literal breaking point.
