The Austin area offers many lights & tree lightings every year! This year is may be a little different but drive through options might make the experience cozier!! Holiday light displays are fun for kids of all ages. Whether a holiday season event or collaborative neighborhood light display, Christmas tree lightings and light displays make the season bright!

Austin

Austin Trail of Lights

November 28th – January 3rd

Austin. Hosted by the Trail of Lights Foundation, the annual event in Zilker Park celebrates the unique spirit and people that make Austin the place we love to call home.

The 56th annual Austin Trail of Lights is returning to the city’s iconic Zilker Park as a drive-thru only event.

The most beloved, and longest running holiday tradition of its kind in Texas’ capital city, Austin Trail of Lights powered by H-E-B, welcomes hundreds of thousands of guests from Central Texas and around the world each year for its jubilant displays of lights.

The Trail now features more than 2 million lights illuminating the park, 90 lighted holiday trees and more than 70 other holiday displays and lighted tunnels.

As is tradition, the Trail will host private nights allowing limited free entry through the STARS at the Trail program for over 30 non-profit partners in the community, as well as provide thousands of vehicle passes to eligible families throughout the Austin Independent School District.

Guests will be able to drive through the Trail from November 28, 2020 – January 3, 2021. This year guests can choose a ticket type based on their preferred date and time. As you drive through the Trail, tune in via your car radio for holiday music, highlights & history, and more.


2020 COVID Cautious Christmas Light Show at Mozart’s

November 11th – January 6th

Austin. Our Mozart’s Christmas Light Show has become an annual tradition. Now in its 11th year, the lights are STILL on!

Select and reserve your table to the Mozart’s 2020 COVID Cautious Christmas Light Show.

Table reservations start at $10/table, and are available now for parties up to 6 people. All tables will be spaced 6 feet apart. Select, 4-person round tables noted in the sitemap are standing only. You may reserve up to 6 tables/day. Your party may not exceed the size of your reserved table.
Reserve and enjoy the show for a one-hour time slot.
Reservations available between 6-11PM.

15th Annual Tower Lighting

November 28th

Austin. Due to the pandemic, we are unable to host our Tower Lighting event, but we still plan to kick off the holiday season with a festive day at Mueller on Small Business Saturday!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 28 and come out for a day of shopping on Aldrich Street. Enjoy holiday music and festive specials at our local businesses. 
Stay until dusk and drive by to see the Tower lit for the holiday season. A virtual countdown will be on our Facebook page at 6 p.m.

Luminations

November 27th – January 3rd

Austin. Here to light up your nights, our Luminations tradition is going to keep on glowing in 2020! Experience the calm of winter at the Center with the shimmer of thousands of luminarias lighting the way. This year, for the first time ever, stroll through our naturally beautiful Texas Arboretum among the illuminated oaks and the light-splashed forts of Fortlandia.

Enjoy a special seasonal menu of take-along foods from Wildflower Café.


Peppermint Parkway

November 27th – January 3rd

Peppermint Parkway is a magical drive-thru experience at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. The event runs from November 27, 2020 – January 3, 2021 and will delight guests of all ages.

Peppermint Parkway is a Covid-safe drive-thru experience. Guests will remain in their vehicles for the duration of the event. Any staff who interacts with our guests will be in appropriate PPE. All guests that choose to partake in the non-Parkway experiences (karting, zip line, grand plaza, COTALAND) will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing at all times. COTA will provide hand sanitizing stations in these areas.


Bastrop

Bastrop River of Lights 

November 27th – January 1st

Bastrop. Take in the River of Lights, numerous lighted displays in a variety of seasonal themes lining Bastrop’s scenic June Hill Pape River Walk. To access this one-half mile promenade, come down the stairs west of the intersection of Main and Pine Streets or select the fully accessible entrance at Fishermans Park on Farm Street.


Boerne

Old West Christmas Light Fest

November 26th – 29th, December 3rd – 6th, 10th-13th,  & 17th-25th

Boerne.

Old West Christmas Light Fest is a holiday experience on a real Texas ranch in picturesque Boerne, TX. The 2020 season will be our seventh year of lighting up the holidays and our third year at Enchanted Springs Ranch. We have no affiliated events, so if you’re not at Enchanted Springs Ranch, don’t be fooled: you’re not at the REAL Christmas Light Fest. Our holiday experience includes a light show, laser tag in the lights, mechanical bull rides, Santa’s Holly Jolly Herd of longhorns, live music, food, and straight from the North Pole, Santa Claus himself! Brimming with activities and fun, our old West town is the perfect way to make lasting memories this holiday season.


Buda

12th Annual Trail of Lights

December 5 & 6, 10-13, 17

Buda.

The City is gearing up for the 12th Annual Trail of Lights event! As with all City events in 2020, things will look a little different this year. In an effort to limit the gathering of large crowds and to keep our staff safe, we are hosting a drive-thru experience for this year’s Trail of Lights! You will get to experience all of the fun displays and lights from the safety of your vehicle.


Johnson City 

31st Annual Lights Spectacular

November 27th- January 53rd

Johnson City. ​​The twinkliest town in the hill country celebrates its 30th annual Lights Spectacular. Holiday lights will continue to glow in Johnson City – with a socially distanced tour of “The Twinkliest Town in Texas” -boasting over two million twinkling lights in our historic square off Main Street.


Kerrville

Holiday Open House In Downtown Kerrville

November 21st

Kerrville. Come to Downtown Kerrville for our in-person Holiday Open House as we light up downtown for the holiday season. Downtown shops will be open and welcome you to join us for a great family night out in Downtown.


Lakeway 

November 20th – January 3rd

Lakeway.One of Lakeway’s most cherished traditions is the Trail of Lights!

Although there will be no in-person event marking opening weekend this year, the trail will be shining brightly each night with thousands of twinkling lights for all to enjoy!

We request that you please follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask when appropriate. Friendly reminder, please limit your groups to less than 10 people.


Llano

Starry Nights Lighted Christmas Park 

November 26th – December 31st

Llano. Opening night will be Friday after Thanksgiving thru December 31. The park is open every night 6-9pm. Sipping hot chocolate, strolling along the Llano River enjoying all of the displays that light up Badu Park. It’s a great place to celebrate the season with family and  friends.


Marble Falls

Walkway of Lights

November 20th – January 1st

Marble Falls.

Y’all! The time has come, Walkway is upon us! Beginning November 20th, and going through January 2nd, Walkway of Lights will be open nightly from 6pm-10pm, weather permitting.

Join us in Lakeside Park as we celebrate the holidays with over two million lights and 30 years of magic. Make the Walkway of Lights your new family tradition, and experience the magic year after year! Admission is always free, yet donations are much appreciated!


New Braunfels 

Downtown Holiday Lighting

November 20th

New Braunfels. The annual tree lighting ceremony held in downtown New Braunfels will be shifted to a virtual format this year to begin the holiday season in a socially distanced manner.

Thousands of lights will be lit on the Main Plaza on Nov. 20 at approximately 6:15 p.m., and the traditional flipping of the switch will be broadcast live on Facebook and the city’s website.


Santa’s Ranch

November 6th- January 3rd

New Braunfels. Explore one of Texas’ favorite christmas displays. Bring your friends and family and enjoy one of the best holiday light exhibits in the state! You’ll take a drive through over a mile of winding country roads while taking in the beautiful lights, animated christmas displays, and enjoying homemade hot cocoa, kettle corn, and snacks.


Round Rock

November 26th – December 6th

Round Rock. Dickens the Reindog Wonderland. Our home Christmas light display is up and running (the day after Thanksgiving through December 6(Epiphany)) 5:30-10:00 nightly. We have over 53,000 lights set to music with two singing reindeer. 30 Meandering Way,Round Rock, TX.
