What’s your full name? Allison Michelle Mack

Where are you from? I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas; however, we moved to Austin when I was 1 year old so I consider myself one of the few true Austinites.

What was the last movie that made you cry or tear up? My husband and I were cable less for a few weeks so we watched a lot of old movies in our DVD collection. We watched 8 Seconds and Wesley looked over at me and I was crying like I was at a funeral… and then I continued to cry for a good 30 minutes after the movie was over!

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? I didn’t really get in trouble very often… either my mom was too lenient or I really was THAT good, but one story comes to mind. My sister had a dog that died when I was 4 years old. The neighbor and I decided a year later it would be fun to dig up the dog’s bones (please keep in mind… I was only 5)! My sister and I are 10 years apart and therefore, we didn’t really like each other when we were younger. My mom used to teach in the evenings so it was just me and my sister at home alone. I grabbed a paper HEB bag, collected the beloved dog’s bones, and went to my sister’s room and asked if she missed her dog; she replied “yes” and I shook the bag of bones at her and said “here she is!”

When was the last time you had an amazing meal? I love to cook; in fact it’s one of my favorite things to do! The other night I made twice baked potatoes, spinach salad with candied walnuts, green apple, blue cheese, endive, and raspberry walnut vinaigrette, and pesto stuffed pork chops. It was oh so divine.

What was the first thing you bought with your own money? When I graduated high school I wanted a new car and since I was 18 and could make my own decisions, I bought one! She was a 1999 silvery blue Honda Prelude.

When was the last time you were nervous? I’m a very nervous person by nature, but my husband and I recently purchased a house and it was such an unbelievably nerve racking experience… BUT we have our house and it’s beautiful!

What is something you learned in the last week? I learned how a fence is built… oh the life of being married and being a home owner. Our weekends consist of Home Depot these days!

At what age did you become an adult? I don’t think I would classify myself as a true adult until the day I found out I was pregnant with Lincoln… from there on out every decision I made was based around him.

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for? Angie Harmon… all THE time! I don’t see it, but as I always say, I’ll take it!

What would you name the autobiography of your life? “I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific—The Chronicles of Allison” Seriously though, I love my life… I’ve just always loved that saying and it hangs in magnet form on my fridge.

What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?  Always and Forever by Cory Morrow… it was our 1st dance song at our wedding. And Bon Jovi, Shot Through The Heart.

What was your favorite food when you were a child? Was and always will be… Macaroni and Cheese!

What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod? Anything Mumford and Sons… I’m in love with them! I even have a Mumford and Sons Pandora station.

What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Honestly, I’m so darn particular with the way things are done that I don’t hate doing any of them. The only chore I make my husband do is to take out the trash and that’s only because I figure he can’t screw that up and mentally it makes me feel better, because he’s contributing.

What is your favorite form of exercise? I work out my bicep every night when I curl my wine glass up to my mouth. Seriously though, I don’t work out and walking to the mailbox is the most amount of exercise I do on a daily basis.

What is your favorite time of day? I absolutely love when “Dada” comes home! It’s always good to see my husband’s face light up to see Lincoln and I’m finally able to relax just a little.

What sound do you love? The sound machine coming across the monitor… it means my son is asleep!
