THE 49TH ANNUAL SPRING PECAN STREET FESTIVAL | Saturday & Sunday | 11am

The Pecan Street Festival is one of the largest, and longest-running, arts/crafts and music festivals in the nation presented by The Pecan Street Association, a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization. The festival has been produced by Special Events Live since 2006.

The Amazing AcroCats | May 3,4,5 | Long Center

Keep It Weird in Austin! The Amazing Acro-Cats, featured in the Netflix series Cat People, are coming to Austin! This troupe of trained domestic house cats, all former orphans, rescues, and strays, give a one-of-a-kind purrformance that includes cats riding skateboards, jumping through hoops, ringing bells, balancing on balls, and performing other feats of agility and entertainment. The show finale is the only all-cat band in the world: Tuna and the Rock Cats! The Rock Cats play guitar, drums, and piano, and they’ve been joined by the Jazz Cats on saxophone, trumpet, and clarinet.

It is never too early for a baby to start learning a second language! Cool Panda Mommy and Me Classes are a great way to start learning Chinese with your little ones. In our weekly classes, we sing songs, dance, listen to stories, and play rhythm games and movement activities in Chinese!

Free Bowling Lessons | Noon-1pm | Spare Time Texas

Lessons are free of charge with registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Class sizes are limited. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Recommended for ages 5-12.

H-E-B FREE FIRST SUNDAY | 10-5 | Bullock Museum

Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during H-E-B Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase and tell the history of artifacts from around the state.

Cinco de Mayo Rooftop Party | 11-5pm | Azul Rooftop at The Westin Austin Downtown

Offering unobstructed views of Austin and beyond, the 20th-floor rooftop restaurant will have a DJ from 2-5pm and specialty tequila cocktails from partner 21 Seeds. 21 Seeds offers delicious infused tequilas like cucumber jalapeño, valencia orange and grapefruit hibiscus. The event is free and open to the public from 11AM – 5PM.

Cinco de Mayo Rooftop Party | 12-5pm | Otopia

The event will feature a DJ set by Ben Green from 1-5pm, giveaways with exciting prizes, and of course, gorgeous views of the Austin skyline. There will be four speciality cocktails from Dos Hombres Mezcal and Dulce Vida Tequila available for purchase as well as sun-inspired cocktails and light bites. Tickets to the event are available online for $15 and include access to the pool from 12pm to sunset.
