The pizza slices are HUGE and there is open space outside for the kids to play.
A favorite splash pad near Auditorium Shores. It also overlooks downtown while kids of all ages can play day and night in the fountains! Open year-round.
Head over to an Austin staple after a fun filled day at Barton Springs pool or Zilker part adventures. Shady grove has a great selection of foods, live entertainment, and a family friendly patio. Their spicy chicken wings are to.die.for.
An Austin favorite located steps away from Dell Diamond, so before you head to a game, sit outside in their patio area, grab a bite to eat, and let the kids release some energy at the playscape area
A splash perfectly located right by a shaded playground! And the restrooms are close too! Come early as this one gets packed FAST.

Wanting Mexican food and a place the kids can enjoy? This place has it all, great Mexican food, a patio furnished with picnic tables, and a playscape area within arms reach.
An Austin mainstay and home of New York-style pizza. If kids complain about the wait, head to the back to the beer garden area or grab a slice next door and eat it outside.
Great local pizza (with gluten free options), and an open shaded area to sit and enjoy the nice Spring days. Not only is it a great space to enjoy a family night out, but would act as a perfect birthday party location. It’s gated and has a big lot that includes a playscape.
A perfect escape to beat the heat — it’s in the shade. Playground, picnic tables, and restrooms close by! Plus, a creek where older kids can explore!

Good Tex-Mex Food, including its famous Bob Armstrong dip. It’s an inviting environment for all families, including their quaint patio set with a pond with fishes. The staff is incredibly friendly, and really makes the dining experience enjoyable for the entire family.
Choose any Gordoughs location and you are bound to be pleasantly surprised at the unique (and sometimes odd) donut flavors available. Take the Mother Clucker for example: Fried Chicken Strip With Honey Butter. Sounds funky, yet tasty!
The menus vary slightly between each location so it’s good to take a look online before you go. While donuts are available at all three, the Public House creates the fabulous Donut Burgers and Donut dinner entrees. However, it is a bar, so not the best place for kids in the evenings.

It’s just $2 per person and is absolutely worth every penny. This splash pad is a beast. It’s amazing and no matter what you do, you are bound to get wet! There is also a slide, and a sand pit! Note: The Cedar Rock railroad is also at this park so head over for a train ride before or after playing with the water!
