Pizza is my favorite food. I could seriously eat it every day, whether it’s traditional pepperoni-mushroom or less-conventional like chicken-pesto-artichoke. In Reno, my favorite delivery pizza was zpizza and I was sad to leave it behind. So you can imagine how excited I was to discover a zpizza on Bee Caves Rd, right on my way home from work.
I love their variety of zpizza creations. When hosting a girls’night, I was way too lazy to cook so I ordered a bunch of different types since everyone was on some sort of eating plan. The Greek and the Napoli were big hits with my vegetarian friends while the Berkeley Vegan on gluten-free crust sated even the most particular non-meat-&-cheese-eater. Personally, I like pizza with meat, cheese AND gluten. My favorite is the Thai. Spicy chicken, mozzarella cheese, peanut sauce and cilantro meld beautifully in pie-form. I also love the Provence which is a bit more traditional but still features innovative toppings like artichoke hearts, capers, tomatoes and fresh basil. I recommend adding the chicken sausage, too.
The salads were also rave-worthy. If you ever want to see people fight over a bowl of greens, order the Pear and Gorgonzola salad. The Greek salad also induced a few fork fights but with less stab wounds.
Overall, zpizza has something for pizza-eaters with even the most discriminating tastes. If you choose to dine-in, you can bring your own beer and wine at most locations. They also do carry-out and delivery to limited areas.
