Java drives our early mornings, helps us beat the afternoon slump, and occasionally helps out in the evenings when we need an extra jolt. The next time you reach for a cup, I hope its at one of these amazing South Austin coffee shops. Which one is your fave?

Summer Moon | Multiple Locations

Coffee beans are hand-roasted daily, family owned and operated. Per their website, “we use no gas or electricity in our commercial roaster. We employ a wood fire for heat and human ingenuity (muscle) to power our roaster.” Customize your coffee sweetness and enjoy their delightful sweet treats as well as breakfast tacos. Crayons, toys and books in kid areas to entertain the littles is awesome! With locations on South First Street, Manchaca Street and 290 Highway near Dripping Springs, you have plenty of options to swing by.

Yup, that Jo’s. Boasting the iconic “I Love You So Much” wall, hot coffee and good food. Don’t forget to snap a photo after you enjoy your Iced Turbo.

Located in the heart of Austin, it does not get cooler than this place. Their small batch coffee partnered with Veracruz Tacos makes a perfect way to start your day. Or perhaps you’d prefer an IPA and a bite from the Shortwave Diner truck? That’s cool too.
