By the time you finish reading this blog post, someone in the United States will have received a new breast cancer diagnosis. It happens every two minutes. One in eight women (and some men) will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a great time to refocus on awareness, fundraising, and self-screenings along with continuing efforts all year long.

Here are a few ways you can help. Donate to support the cause, give time or funds to families batting breast cancer or to deserving organizations, participate in fundraising events and be proactive in your own health.
