By the time you finish reading this blog post, someone in the United States will have received a new breast cancer diagnosis. It happens every two minutes. One in eight women (and some men) will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a great time to refocus on awareness, fundraising, and self-screenings along with continuing efforts all year long.
Here are a few ways you can help. Donate to support the cause, give time or funds to families batting breast cancer or to deserving organizations, participate in fundraising events and be proactive in your own health.

Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q continues their annual Pink “Cup for a Cause” campaign with a brand-new cup. The newly designed 32-ounce cup is only available during the month of October, but in addition to being available in-store, guests can participate through Rudy’s online ordering system, which includes curbside pickup and delivery.
Since launching the first Cup for A Cause campaign in October 2012, Rudy’s has raised over $2.5 million for breast cancer, military charities, and hurricane relief. Over the next month, they hope to increase the amount raised by asking guests to donate $1 to their breast cancer charity partners. Guests who donate in-store will receive a coupon for a free large drink to be used on their next visit.
