I’ve been going through a season with my seven-year-old daughter and finding the care she needs. Healthcare can be overwhelming, whether you’re searching for the right pediatrician for your family or locating a specialist who’s a good fit for your child’s treatment. I’m currently writing this blog from a hotel room in Minnesota because I had to bring my kiddo all the way to the Mayo Clinic. This mama knows it’s a lot, sis! Sometimes all it takes is a few resources on a list to point us in the right direction. So, here ya go; a small list of child therapists in Austin.
Circle of Care – in-home pediatric speech, physical, and occupational therapy for Austin and surrounding areas. Services include speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy for Autism, Dyslexia, Feeding and Swallowing Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, Speech Delay, Speech Apraxia, Spina Bifida, Pediatric Scoliosis, and Pediatric Voice Disorders.
Big Sky Pediatric Therapy – an outpatient therapy clinic located in Bee Cave, Austin. They offer occupational, physical, and speech therapy. Teletherapy is also an option.
Flourish Sanctuary – Austin & Houston. Flourish Sanctuary is a practice of mental health professionals that offers in-person and virtual therapy for the whole family (individuals, couples, and families).
Deep Eddy Therapy – multiple locations across Austin. They are a counseling facility that offers a wide range of in-person and virtual services for kids, teens, and young adults. Those services include Gender Affirmative Surgery, Psychological Evaluations, and Bilingual Therapy.
Austin Child Guidance Center – South Austin, is a nonprofit offering accessible care for children and their families. They offer treatment for mood disorders, family challenges, anxiety, and more.
In my experience, even with a list of resources, do your own research. Trust your mama’s gut on what is the best fit for your family!
