Let’s GLOW crazy! Texas will be home to the very first glow-in-the-dark playground in the country. Austin is lucky to have some of the best parks and playgrounds, but this one is worth a road trip! Joya at Oran Good Park will be an inclusive glow-in-the-dark playground that, while fun in the daytime, will come alive at night with interactive features that glow, allowing for day and evening play.

Grand Opening:

Saturday, January 20 @ 6PM

Ceremonial Lighting of the Playground at 6:30

Food Trucks | Free Swag | Lots of Fun

The playground is nestled in a Dallas suburb and we’ve already got it on our Spring Break to-do list. The main playground is over 18,000 square feet, and there’s a 7,000 square foot toddler-friendly play area. The main playground boasts swings, an obstacle Course, Zip Line with interactive lights, Spin Zone with LED lights and Glowing Seating. The Tot playground is best for ages 2-5 and features a fenced area with two gated entrances,
turf embankment play, natural sensory play area, ground level and ramp structured play and LED uplit spin zones.

The crown jewel of this glow-in-the-dark playground has to be the 27-foot Lit sphere. It’s 6 levels, has lots of hammocks and slides to enjoy. It’s made up of dense mesh and is
recommended for school-age kiddos 6+.

More highlights include: Lit seating, Lit pathways, Sound system, Musical features, and Shade structures. Joya is a part of the Oran Good Park Complex that includes baseball and softball fields, a turf soccer field, trails and rawhide creek.

Joya will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park will begin to illuminate at sunset, and lights will turn off when the park closes at 10 p.m. Some exceptions, such as special events, may warrant extended lighting hours.
