Summer Wonders serves bright and curious students in the Central Texas area. With the full support of ACE Academy and our partnership with the Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development, our Summer Wonders program has grown and evolved since 1999 – much like the students who return to Summer Wonders year after year.
Students who thrive in our program are naturally curious and inquisitive, love hands-on learning, enjoy the thrill that comes with learning something new, and may or may not be placed in gifted and talented programs at their school. Laura Sanders, MA, LPCA, LMT, is a licensed professional counselor, author, meditation teacher and massage therapist. Her specialties include therapy for highly sensitive people, gifted and talented children, and therapy for perinatal mental health. After a challenging pregnancy and labor, Laura became a proud mama in 2012. She has raised her daughter as a single mother and feels passionate about offering support to new and expecting parents.
With a background in trauma therapy, she is fully trained in EMDR. Laura is spiritually diverse with many personal practices including breathwork, kundalini and vinyasa yoga, and sound healing. Her book Supernatural Recovery: An Empaths’ Guide to Overcoming Addiction and Trauma can be found on Amazon. Everyone from all faiths, races, and backgrounds are welcome. She is a proud LBGTQIA+ affirming ally.

I am an LMT specializing in Carol Osbourne’s pre and perinatal massage therapy. I completed my continuing education at Lauterstein-Conway. The school taught deep tissue, myofascial release, and enhanced range of motion techniques to support expecting mothers. This modality is meaningful and rewarding in different ways from typical bodywork. Through prenatal massage, I have developed a reverence for the body that you can feel with my connected touch. My teaching method focuses on all aspects of piano playing and musicianship, including ear-training, music theory, piano technique, practice skills, a wide variety of piano literature, memory-training, sight-reading, music history, and more.
In addition, students have the option to perform regularly in student recitals.
30, 45 and 60 minute private lessons are available at my home studio in North Austin (Woods of Brushy Creek).

About the teacher
Alla Artemova is a professional pianist and a piano teacher. She began her musical education at the Moscow School of Arts for Children when she was 6 years old. She finished Gnessin Music School, and graduated from Conservatory of Music, the State Classical Academy in Moscow, Russia.
Her education trained her to be both a performer and a teacher. Alla Artemova has over 25 years of teaching experience with students of all ages and levels.
Alla moved to the US in 2004, and established Alla Artemova Piano Studio in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she taught piano until moving to Austin, TX in 2020. She is excited to welcome new students to her Bright Keys Piano Studio, located in North Austin (Woods of Brushy Creek). Alla is an active member of Austin District Music Teachers Association (ADMTA), Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
In addition to her teaching career, Alla has extensively performed in the US and abroad as a soloist, chamber musician, and as an accompanist with various choral groups, instrumentalists and vocalists. Her collaborative pianist engagements also include K-12 music programs, church programs, ballet programs, musical theater and opera productions, competitions, auditions, festivals and more. Alla‘s collaborative pianist work includes: Christian Academy of Performing Arts Austin, Austin ISD, Round Rock ISD, San Francisco Girls Chorus, Marin Girls Chorus, Verismo Opera, Marin Baroque, Consort Chorale, Women’s vocal ensemble Musae, Singers Marin, Bay Shore Lyric Opera, Marin Men’s Chorus, Sonoma Valley Chorale, Young Women’s Choral Project, CinnaSingers, Throckmorton Chorus, Women’s vocal ensemble Cinnagals, Children music program Music Makers, and many more. Alla also served as a pianist, organist and a choir accompanist at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Tiburon, CA for 14 years, and prior to that at All Saints Lutheran Church in Novato, CA. Her most recent international performances include concerts at churches and concert halls of Great Britain, Poland, Italy and the Vatican.
