And Then… There Were… Four!

First there were two…

Then there were three…

And then……..

I’ve been granted so many blessings in life…far more than I feel I deserve sometimes. Today I’m filled with gratitude, love, endless blessings, and best of all, baby #2! It brings Wesley and I such joy to share with all of our friends, family, and extended blog family that BABY BOY MACK will be here March 29^th, 2013!

Yep, you heard that right… my life is being taken over by more testosterone! As if our family needed any more of that with Wesley in it 🙂

I stuck to my promise from December of 2011 (when I wrote about my miscarriage) that nobody would know about any future pregnancy until after the 1^st trimester was over. Unfortunately keeping anything from my sister and mom takes too too much effort so they’ve known since the beginning. Next we had to tell Wesley’s parents at around 10 weeks, because his brother was planning his wedding for March 16^th in Arkansas…no can do for this mama. And then silly me thought your first trimester was over at 12 weeks so I was only planning on keeping the secret until then, but then I found out from my doctor it’s actually over somewhere between 13 and 14 weeks…so I decided to hold out longer. Then I decided I had held out that long so why not just wait until we knew what we were having! And so that’s what we did.

So here we are 17 weeks into the pregnancy FINALLY sharing our big news {we’ve known since Lincoln’s birthday party; July 28^th}! I didn’t tell my best friends. I even fake drank wine at a birthday dinner with 2 of my besties. Honestly, it was quite exhausting keeping it in; however, I feel so much better knowing that our little man is growing big and strong, has all his limbs, a hearty heart, and is nice and cozy in his apartment for the next several months AND THEN announcing the news. Don’t be offended that you’re finding out through a blog…most are so you’re not alone. We love you all and this doesn’t make you any less important. It’s just the crazy way we I decided to share the news.

We are absolutely over the moon with excitement! Lincoln has no idea what’s coming his way, but we are tickled that Lincoln will have a little brother. Siblings are THE best {even if you can’t see it when you’re younger} so we are thrilled to give Lincoln the greatest gift of all.

It’s pretty fitting that we are having a boy considering we both wore pink to our pregnancy reveal/family photo shoot. It’s as if the pregnancy gods were laughing down at us all dressed in pink like we thought we were having a girl… “oooh ha ha ha ha {in a creepy fake pregnancy god voice}, we’ll show you”. Honestly, the pink was coincidental/accidental and had no bearing on what we hoped for. Healthy was priority #1! But ‘boy oh boy’ did my hubs squeal like a school girl when our doc said we had another “no-doubter”!

Cheers {apple cider, of course} to babies in general, but in my world, BABY BOYS!!!
