National Mimosa Day-yes it’s a real thing!- is on May 16. CHEERS! A mimosa (a breakfast cocktail traditionally made with orange juice and champagne) is the classic and refreshing breakfast or brunch boozy drink, and Austin has plenty of options to try out.

We’ve gathered a list of some of our favorite restaurants to enjoy a mimosa, so check them out- maybe you’ll find your new favorite brunch spot! 

Whether it’s an excuse to have a little bubbly or just a refreshing daytime drink, these bubbly drinks and brunch are the perfect pair.

Z’Tejas is polishing the champagne flutes and getting ready to celebrate. The Southwest restaurant will be offering half-priced mimosas all day on May 16. Guests can choose from the classic, a Strawberry Mimosa or a Mango Peach Mimosa. Z’Tejas has two Austin locations on Sixth Street at 1110 W. 6th Street and at the Arboretum 9400 Arboretum. Brunch is served Saturday and Sundays from 11 a.m until 2 p.m.

mimosaDos Mary’s Tex Mex offers a big selection of drinks and a lively atmosphere. They have strawberry, grapefruit, cranberry, orange, and watermelon mimosas. Try their migas for brunch, or come catch their live music!   

Kerbey Lane Cafe  offers delicious breakfast and brunch options, and is well-known for their mimosas. The Kerbey Sunrise is their signature mimosa- featuring sparkling pomegranate and pineapple juice.  They have a variety of drink options daily: orange, pineapple, cranberry juice, pomegranate, apple cider, and grapefruit. Or check out their seasonal mimosa! Currently it’s the Pamplemosa- grapefruit and orange juice with rosemary simple syrup. 

The Grove Wine Bar/Kitchen has tons of patio seating and offers discounted wine and beer. Their mimosa flight (three mini drinks) is a great way to try different flavors!  

Copper Restaurant in the Domain offers fantastic mix-your-own mimosas for $12, as well as $5 off a dozen cake balls! These prices are good for brunch, from open until 3:30 pm daily. 

Corner-Flavors of Texas downtown features delicious drinks and brunch, and has a gorgeous patio and dining area. 

Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden offers a famous “Manmosa” you have to try.  The Manmosa is served in a beer stein filled with an entire bottle of champagne and a splash of orange juice. It’s perfect for sharing or for a serious bruncher. 

Taverna’s  Italian eatery is a beautiful location to have a mimosa and brunch. Taverna offers low price mimosas along with a delicious brunch menu. 

Cru Food and Wine Bar offers a bottomless carafe of mimosas or bellinis, as well as some unique brunch offerings like goat cheese beignets and a black truffle omelet. 

The Iron Cactus  boasts the best value in town when it comes to brunch. Their brunch items can be ordered in a buffet style, as well as traditional plates. Enjoy your mimosa and Huevos Rancheros while you relax on their rooftop patio.

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is the place to get brunch in Austin. They offer a variety of mimosas and a really in-depth brunch menu. Try the Strawberry Martini Mimosa, made from Snooze Sparkling, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and strawberry puree. Wait times at Snooze can be long, so a reservation is recommended.
