A special elf from the North Pole has landed in Austin, and has a cozy downtown loft at the corner of 6th & Brazos. Dale on the Rail has been spreading cheer from his beautiful balcony with views of downtown Austin to pedestrians below.

Dale wants to meet as many kids as possible during his short stay and he’s inviting you to the First Responders (Austin Police Department, the Austin Fire Department, and the Austin-Travis County EMS) thank you donut breakfast tomorrow, Friday, December 20 from 7 to 10am.

He’ll be entertaining you, along with these special guests in his loft on the top floor balcony of The Littlefield Lofts downtown at 119 E. 6th St. #701. Later that morning, Dale will be welcoming children from The Settlement Home to unpack his suitcase filled with fun gifts.

Hosted by LodgeLocal (a female-owned, Austin-based, homegrown private accommodations collective) and created by local designer and sculptor Faith Schexnayder at Flatfork Studio,

Dale’s purpose is to give back to the community through art and whimsy. Exemplifying Austin’s mantra of “Keep Austin Weird,” Dale was built in under two weeks, and took 18 hours to install.

Dale sees how hard mamas work and believes in the magic of family.

He’s offering Austin Mom’s readers the chance to win 4 ZIP Passes to the Trail of Lights including a sleigh ride (for 2 adults and 2 children) driven by his elf crush Heidi from @FlyByPedalCab.

To enter to win, follow @DaleOnTheRail and @TopTripRentals on Instagram and include #LodgeLocal in your selfie post with with Dale. One winner will be chosen.

Dale has also convinced LodgeLocal to offer Austin Mom’s readers a special rental rate from now until January 31, 2020. Call 512-522-TRIP. Mention Austin Mom’s to get the special rate.

A 15-foot elf is magical regardless of your age. We can’t wait to see your selfies (Dale is very photogenic, it’s like he doesn’t even blink!) and find out who will win this great memory-making adventure.

Go downtown and meet Dale on the Rail before he heads back to the North Pole! @DaleOnTheRail has social media profiles on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to chronicle his Austin adventures.
