The Safety 1st Prism Color Video Monitor ranges in price from $99 to $249 and can be purchased online or through retailers like Babies R Us. We purchased ours for $119.
We originally registered for the Graco Vibe Monitor with the mindset that our sweet bundle would be sleeping in such close proximity to us (her room was less that 15 steps away,) that it wouldn’t matter if we could physically see her or not. Well…we were blessed with a “moaner.” She makes the most awful noise in her sleep (it’s not a snore and not a cry it’s just a whiney moan) for a couple of hours a night and we learned rather quickly that we would much rather sneak a peek from our bed than get up and walk the 15 steps to find her sleeping soundly and…moaning. The Safety 1st Prism monitor has a color screen that makes it easy to see if those little eyeballs are open or closed.

As she’s gotten older and we’ve attempted the Ferber method and other ways to get Caroline to put herself to sleep, having the ability to see her and not just hear her has made all the difference.
The Safety 1st Prism monitor has a low battery life, so that has been quite frustrating but the concept of it is brilliant and the outstanding picture quality makes up for it.
I highly recommend mommies invest in a video monitor because it’s 100% “Worth It Wednesday” today and every day!

I remember when you had that first monitor and I sent you a pic of Lincoln via my video monitor. I think it’s a great investment!!!
That’s just one of the many ways you’ve changed my mommy life!
