The Fourth of July is around the corner and like many folks out there, you’re probably invited to a gathering with family and friends. If you’re racking your brain trying to figure out what to take, I’ve got a quick and easy fruit bowl that’ll make bellies all around happy. Don’t forget to check out Allison’s DIY shirt or onesie to make sure you’re dressed to impress, too.

Fourth

Here is what you need: 1.) Fruit-watermelon (I bought a seedless one, but it was full of seeds), strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.  Bananas are optional. 2.) Kitchen gadgets-bowl, cutting board, star cookie cutter and a knife. 3.) Approximately 10 minutes of your life.

Supplies

Here’s what you do. 1.) Cut your watermelon into as many 1″ thick slices as you can.  Like I said above, I bought a personal seedless watermelon, so I didn’t get too many slices, but if you buy a bigger watermelon, you should have decent luck.  2.)  Once you have the slices sliced, you can do one of two things: a.) Cut out all of the stars you’d like or b.) Start to assemble your fruit bowl by adding some raspberries, blueberries, etc. and then adding the stars when you’re ready. I did option a.

WatermelonAfter approximately seven minutes of labor, you’re all done…or as Caroline would say “We’re finally finished with it all.”

Voila
