The city of Austin is positively BUZZING in anticipation of SXSW 2023. The festival has something for everyone–yes, even your littles! We know that FOMO is so real, so we did the work and broke down some Family-Friendly SXSW events for you!

Girls Rock Austin 16th Annual South Pie Day Party 

March 14, Noon – 6pm | FREE 

Join us Tuesday, March 14th from noon to 6 PM at the ABGB for GRA’s 16th Annual SX Day Party, (although this year we’re calling it the SouthPie Day Party since it’s on 3.14 which is Pi Day and y’all know how much we love a good pun! So in addition to all of the always awesome and eclectic lineup of local, national and international artists, we’ll be hosting a Pie fight, along with a pie walk and bake-off. Plus The ABGB will have pizza and drink specials all day long. As always, no admission to get in and all ages are welcome!

Flatstock 84 

March 15 to 17 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Austin Convention Center, Exhibit Hall 5

The best concert posters have always captured both the essence of the music they promoted and the spirit of the time in which they were produced. Flatstock provides an ongoing series of opportunities to see fine poster art in person and to meet the artists who created it. The American Poster Institute is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to serving the poster artist community and promoting the art form. Flatstock provides the American Poster Institute with a way to present poster artists collectively while showcasing the breadth of styles they represent. Kendra Scott Flagship Store Celebrates SXSW 2022

My family’s fave! The SXSW Community Concerts at Lady Bird Lake is our largest stage at SXSW and is free and open to the public. Located at 800 W Riverside Dr., the Austin skyline serves as the perfect background to special live music showcases. Bring a picnic or enjoy food from local food trucks, and grab a cold beverage in The Beer Garden.

The interactive experience will take shape inside a multi-story building in downtown Austin with features including Roku City Style Shop, Roku City Rooftop Diner,  Roku City Park and Best Buy Home Theater Experience.

DAWA (Diversity Awareness and Wellness in Action)

This year will mark the second annual collaboration between DAWA and SXSW, and the inaugural launch of Vision:8291.Performances by Caramelo Haze, CP Loopy, J Soulja, The Tiarras, and Urban Heat.
