As my girls have grown up, the activities I plan for summer have changed. At time, it seems like an evolution…moving from splash pads, to baby pools and now to waterparks. Regardless of the activity at hand, I am just SO happy that they still will hang out with their Mom. There are plenty of things to do to keep busy around town. Here’s our guide of all things Summer Fun in Austin with Teens!

My girls LOVE the water, so we love keeping cool at Volente Beach, Typhoon Texas and exploring Lake Travis.

When its NOT too hot, we also love exploring out doors together. Having a day out exploring Zilker Park, playing Peter Pan mini golf and grabbing lunch at Sandy’s is a perfect day!

Exploring various parts of town is always fun and keeps them familiar of what it means to ‘keep Austin weird’.  Summer Fun in Austin with Teens could mean spending an afternoon on South Congress, taking selfies with the many murals, shopping at some funky stores and grabbing a sweet treat at Amy’s Ice cream, puts a smile on their faces.

Another place we love to venture is to The Domain. Now this, is truly a teen dream….shopping, the Museum of Ice Cream and dinner at the all pink Taquero Mucho! You’ll find tons of great photo ops and murals around Domain NorthSide!

So pack your patience, grab your selfie stick and some iced coffee; and head out on an adventure!
