I am an Austin girl through and through and love talking about all things pertaining to Austin! I love to brag on things that make us (Austinites) cool and unique and I love love love to give credit where credit is due.

I’ve blogged about my love of Kendra Scott Jewelry before in the Must Haves In the Closet for Any Mommy blog, but I feel she needs more of an ego boost even if it is from a little ole’ mom like me 🙂

I first met Kendra of Kendra Scott Jewelry at the Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards back in 2008. When I was introduced to her I was told she made her own jewelry. I thought to myself “how cool” but dismissed her creativity by thinking her jewelry making was just some little side project where she dabbled in making jewels for herself. Haha! Whoops!

Fast forward several months and I got a job working a few doors down from the Kendra Scott headquarters. “Wait a minute, that girl I met that seemed ‘earthy’ because she made her own jewelry has her own headquarters????” Okay okay Kendra Scott is CLEARLY not just some gal that makes jewelry for herself as a side project! I quickly learned about this little lady’s empire! But still… I knew Kendra Scott before she had boutique after boutique, had become one of the MOST recognizable jewelry designers out there, and before she was a household name!!! Yes, I feel I started a trend 🙂 Alright, I know other people were fans of her jewelry, but let a girl mom dream!

I told my then boyfriend and now husband about meeting her and for my birthday he surprised me with several KS pieces! Yippee, I had my first 3 KS pieces!!! And my obsession has only grown!

Since meeting Kendra back in 2008, she has become THE most popular jewelry designer in Austin and ONE of the MOST popular jewelry designers in the United States! She’s not just our little local designer here in Austin anymore. She’s opened boutiques in Austin, Dallas and Beverly Hills, jewels a plethora of celebs, AND is featured in magazine after magazine for her creations and trends!

My favorite thing about KS jewelry is how unique each piece is, but still maintains its recognizability (wait is that a word? Well, it’s my new word!) across Austin…Vanessa and I can’t go anywhere without being complimented on our KS Jewelry. Seriously, Vanessa just rolls her eyes now it’s so comical to her! And yes, I finally got Vanessa turned on to Kendra Scott as well… she’s officially one of us now! Oh and being a mom definitely helps Kendra’s cool factor!

Kendra Scott Jewelry is sold throughout Austin at an array of places, but KS has a boutique on South Congress. I’m so obsessed with KS that I dressed myself and all my 5 bridesmaids in KS jewels. By doing so, I was featured on her blog and her “Real Weddings” section on her website. How freaking cool????? Okay yes, I’m
a groupie and total KS nerd!
