Have you noticed a growing trend of Facebook Boutiques?  A lot of these boutiques are not exclusively on Facebook but they are promoting their business (like crazy!) on Facebook and luring moms, like me and you, to shop throughout the day.  Do you know what I’m talking about? Here is a screen shot of one of my favs!

A lot of these boutiques are owned by moms who discovered their creative abilities and use them as a way to provide for their families, like Louanne from Posh and Prissy. You may remember her because she hosted Austin Moms Blog’s very first giveaway!

So…back to the addiction piece of this. Any given day, when I open up Facebook (my third web site visit of the day #1 being my e-mail and #2 being TMZ!) I am greeted by a number of boutique advertisements like this one…

This precious Santa bow is being auctioned off by Katie J. Bowtique.  Bidding starts at $1 and you must bid in $1 increments.  A bow this size goes for $15 or so, so starting a bidding war with other mamas could result in some savings!

Or like this one…discounted merchandise available to the first to comment.  This is also from Katie J.  She’s another one of my favorites.

Because I know that these ladies are hard-working moms just trying to make a living for their families doing something I could never do, I feel very inclined to buy, buy, buy!

I’ve found some great things for my sweet pea on Facebook boutiques and I love knowing that my hard-earned dollars are supporting a small business owner that happens to be a mommy.  Look at that cute top!  It’s covered in bling and was perfect for our meeting with Santa!

Since I became a mommy, I think I’ve invested a good 40% of my Caroline budget with Facebook boutique owners!  Isn’t that cool?  My $25 investment to them means a heck of a lot more than it does to Target and I can rest assured knowing that whatever it is, a bow, a shirt, a cute pair of boots, is being made and shipped with love.

Do you Facebook shop?  If you don’t…you need to start!  If you do, what boutique is your favorite?
