Well, I owe you all a BIG apology. I originally committed to weekly updates but between way more interesting blog topics and my hectic work schedule, “I’ll do it next week” turned into today! So…my apologies.

I have to tell you, I am a woman changed. I started this journey to shed a few pounds and hopefully gain some readers in the process but I have gained SO MUCH more than that. I am a healthier human being and I have a profound appreciation for anyone who has stepped foot in a CrossFit box.ever.

I started my Bye Bye Belly journey weighing 152 pounds and with 31.06% body fat and in four weeks I dropped to 144 pounds and 26% body fat! I’m excited about the 8 pounds being gone but I’m way more excited with the 5% body fat gone! It may not sound like a lot but I’m down a pant size, bra size and a chin! Here is a recent picture of the Barry Family–I love that pointy chin!

I learned so much about my body throughout this journey. I learned that eliminating certain foods from my daily menus kept me from feeling full, bloated and lazy and that adding certain foods to my meal plan gave me a natural energy that a mom can’t afford not to have.

I’m eternally grateful to the CrossFit Round Rock team for working with me throughout this journey and teaching me about the Paleo lifestyle–it’s not a diet…it’s a lifestyle–and kicking this uncoordinated and nonathletic mom’s booty! That’s a picture from December’s Free For All. We had to unwrap our WOD (aka workout of the day) and it was good way to start my Saturday!

So, what’s next for this lean, mean, mommy machine? Ha! Just kidding, I’m not a machine quite yet. But what’s next is continuing to work with Aggie and team at CrossFit Round Rock! My favorite thing about CrossFit is that it’s different EVERY DAY! There is ZERO monotony and I honestly look forward to going. I love the ladies that are part of my 5:15 pm class and when I can’t make that one and I crash another class, I love meeting new people!

And the other things that’s next is….the REBORN CHALLENGE! I’m so excited for this! It’s an eight week challenge that kick 2012 off with a bang. I will be on Aggie’s Team and we will be working on leaning up! Why Reborn? Well, it is an 8 week challenge that will be specialized to MY needs.

If you’re interested in trying CrossFit, I highly encourage it. There are monthly Free For Alls and if you’d like to know when the next one is, check out www.crossfitroundrocktx.com or e-mail me at [email protected] and we’ll get you signed up! How fun would it be to have an AMB army there!
